Our calico dog, Gecko came to us as a two year old with his sister Gila and his half-brother Hawkeye.  He's an exuberant boy.  He's also a confirmed wheel dog; not the sharpest knife in the drawer.  Gecko also has an abnormal protein level in his blood.  We've never seen any problems in his performance and he's been trained-up for three Yukon Quests and even passed the Quest Vet-Checks, but we've kept him out of the 1000-mile race to be on the safe side.  He has been a great mid-distance race dog and continues to train with the team, although his racing days are done.  His favorite food is chicken and his favorite scratch spot is under his collar.
