We are currently waiting at the Dawson checkpoint. Camp
is all set up and we cant wait to see Mike and the
dogs. He has dropped 4 dogs total as of right now.
Wilson and Hawkeye are resting in Whitehorse, which was
hard for me to leave them, but makes the trip a bit
easier. Mike also dropped 2 dogs at Eagle. Romeo for a
sore bicep muscle and Lotus for 2 sore wrists. They are
very happy and resting now in the truck after getting a
plane ride from Eagle to Dawson. My family was here on
Thursday morning but we were unable to wake them up at
3am to help set up camp. CBC interviewed us and we were
able to listen to it this morning. Pretty funny if you
can find it on the web. Moe also was able to make the
trip from Whitehorse to help with the rest of the race.
Handlers are now better rested for the upcoming
layover. Thanks for all the support and I'll drop a
line soon.
